Christmas Themed Lanterns

Visitors will enter the festival through a giant, ornate, Xmas themed, lantern entrance feature before they embark on a fascinating journey through Roundhay Park uncovering stunning lanterns in all shapes and sizes representing the festive season.

We promise visitors a truly amazing experience, a visual feast of light and illumination, hidden amongst the grandeur of Europe’s largest city park, which lends itself perfectly to the layout of the lanterns with its combination of lakes, woodland, gardens and pathways.

Children will be mesmerised by the fantastic array of colours, brightly lit giant lanterns in the shape of santa, reindeers, Xmas trees, flowers, plants, camels, London Bus, giant panda, giant fish and so much more…..

Wildlife & Nature Lanterns

Visitors will see an array of lantern recreations of plants, flowers, nature, animals and wildlife. These artistic masterpieces have been intricately designed and installed to suit the garden surroundings.

Oozing vibrant colours and a distinctive style, look out for the giant proud peacock lantern standing 12-metres wide by 3-metres high with its plume of feathers stretched out across the gardens.

Nestled on the pond is a lantern scene of two giant frogs sitting upon lily flowers surrounded by purple water flowers glistening in the night sky.

A truly magnificent scene of giant white LED lit birdcages, wrapped with flowers, containing brightly illuminated birds in all colors and sizes. This amazing lantern scene is 10-metres wide by 8-metres high and will capture the imagination of tropical forests.

This scene of nature captures the essence of garden wildlife with larger than life 1.8-metre high grasshoppers roaming amongst ladybirds and plants.
